I work for an accounting firm and believe me more than ever our clients are reviewing their financial condition and evaluating their expenses. What better time for households to do the same.
Now, it’s not surprising that mine is not the only “typical” riding household that has been impacted by the effects of the poor economy, mushy housing market and the price of gas. Of course this could increase stress and in general put a damper on things, but my opinion is don’t let it get you down! All the more reason to get out and ride! It’s cheaper on gas then the cages, you’ll save money at the bar because you won’t be tempted to drink as much. Always ride sober! And so what if your frequenting the local hotdog stand and not the Italian restaurant on Wednesday dinner night. (Who knows I might even loose those added pounds!) The point is you’re getting out of the house, riding with friends or your honey and not rehashing the obvious. This too shall pass. Even if it’s a scoot around the country for 20 miles with your music on, manage your stress and save your marriage.
In the mean time, there are still some great events and rides to plan for this month so check out the “Rides and Events” page for October. We want to welcome our newest advertisers for the new edition, James Hamlin & Co., P.C., Lake Shore Harley Davidson and Stateline Choppers. Stateline Choppers, is a retail/custom shop in Lake Geneva who you will definitely be hearing more about. They have a benefit ride starting out of their location on the 11th of October. Lake Shore Harley Davidson has also joined us as a respected B.I.G. Advertiser. Their customer appreciation day is October 26th. And James Hamlin & Co., P.C. is the great biker friendly accounting firm I work for and let’s face it who doesn’t need tax advice? You’ll be able to get the latest publication at the events and at any of our advertisers’ locations starting October 5th. Plan on joining us, we’ll be covering the events and taking lots of pictures for the Gallery and the upcoming Gotcha pages.
Look for the publication at biker friendly establishments between Chicago and Rockford and as far north as Wisconsin Dells and east to Milwaukee. If they don’t offer the publication yet, tell them about us, we would be happy to include them. There is a link on our web site to become a distribution site.
Our advertisers appreciate riders like you. You’ll find them on the map in the magazine or via our web site! Please support them and tell them Biker Information Guide sent you.
Please remember to go to the web site often for updates on runs and events. And please contribute any runs and events you would like everyone to know about. There are links to the easy to fill out forms on the front page of our website. Your Opinions are always welcome; you’ll find a link there too.
Keep ridin’ and be safe... but that’s only my opinion...Jnfr
